Rest in Peace, Elizabeth Taylor

CNN reports that Elizabeth Taylor has died at 79 from heart failure. It’s impossible, or nearly, to pin down what was so great about her. Partly it was just her other worldly beauty – some faces are like great buildings – every line, ever shadow cast, every surface artful perfections. But it was her many iconic performances too. I will, for the fun of it, rank my top ten favorite performances of hers.
