The first trailer for La La Land has landed and marks a return to music for Damien Chazelle following his smash hit Whiplash. Set in Los Angeles, La La Land stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. It follows a jazz pianist played by Gosling who falls for a struggling actress Stone as they struggle to make it big in Hollywood. The dialogue-free trailer is set to City of Stars which Gosling performs. It also gives us an insight into the stunning visuals from cinematographer Linus Sandgren who previously worked on Joy and American Hustle.
La La Land will have its World Premiere at the Venice Film Festival and opens in December. It also stars J.K Simmon, John Legend, and Finn Wittrock.
