Lest we forget, Meryl Streep is a double-threat this year. She stars alongside Steve Martin, Rita Wilson, John Krasinski and Alec Baldwin this Christmas in the “Untitled Nancy Meyers Project” — “A romantic comedy in which two men vie for the affection of a woman.”

Nora Ephron directs Julie & Julia. As dela pointed out last night, this would make the 4th and 5th opportunity for an actress to be directed to an Oscar nomination by a female director this year — are there others?
