People saying Carrell isn’t safe have a short-term memory. Last year the final 5 was not the consensus everyone had agreed on.
Rosamund Pike begins to get some love. Very interesting.
The Boyhood/Birdman for BP/BD split has now happened both ways – very interesting!
I’ve been counting these awards… out of the so-called “frontrunners” at this point, Julianne Moore is the least mentioned one with only 3 awards so far. Michael Keaton has 6, Patricia Arquette 7, JK Simmons 9, Boyhood and Linklater 8. Not that it means much… She’ll have the comfortable lead if she unanimously wins the majors (BFCA, Globes, SAG).
This is a bit random, but does anyone else think Ellar Coltrane looks like Nick Stahl?
Jake is really starting to kick ass. I’d hate to see Carell miss out, but it looks like it’s going to be one of those two battling for the fifth spot. And if I had to pick i’d rather see Gyllenhaal nominated. In my perfect world Redmayne and Cumbie would be snubbed in favor of Carell and Fiennes but that’s not happening.
