This brilliant performance. Scenes from Ava DuVernay’s magnificent film in the background. Great great stuff.

Sasha Stone has been around the Oscar scene since 1999. Almost everything on this website is her fault.
One of the many bad things that happened at the Grammys.
The song is terrific and a worthy of an Oscar and a Grammy
I thought they were supposed to be doing this at the Oscars so when I saw this on the Grammys I thought I got the shows mixed up. So Beyonce IS joining them at both shows? That’s weird. The Grammys were bad. I had to flip back and forth between it and the Baftas but it doesn’t help that it always looks like the power went out and they’re doing the show with backup generators.
agree about Annie Lennox, and AC/DC, but enjoyed the messy diversity of the show. Made the Oscars look airless and pretentious.
A good song with a terrific message, it will be judged on how much it helped the film. I feel Lost Stars by Gregg Alexander had more of an impact on the film, its nuanced, three different versions within the plotline, the song had a central role to the movie, “Can A Song Change Your Life?” (original title of Begin Again).
This performance was in no way a highlight, Just another boring grammy performance to suffer through while waiting for
Best Album and Madonna and whatever,
Why does this get an an article here? 🙂
Won’t this same performance resurface in two weeks at the Academy Awards? Not much you can really do to change it up from here.
Good performance, but an absolutely terrible show. The order of the performances were awkward and there wasn’t a lot of variety. They should have opened with the closing act and end with AC/DC. I’m not sure if Debbie Downer was qualified to produce the Grammys, but her presence was felt. Its okay to have slow, emotionally-driven songs performed, but they should be performed with some life! Thank goodness for Annie Lennox!
