According to the Los Angeles Times (via Animation Scoop), Christine Cavanaugh, the voice of Babe the pig in the 1995 film and of several 90s cartoon characters including Chuckie Finster (Rugrats), Goslyn (Darkwing Duck), and Dexter (Dexter’s Laboratory), died of unspecified causes on December 22 at the age of 51.
She will also be remembered for providing the voices of Marty Sherman (The Critic), Oblina (Ahhhh Real Monsters), Bunnie Rabbot (Sonic the Hedgehog) and Bamm-Bamm (Cave Kids) as well as small onscreen parts on such shows as Cheers, E.R., The X-Files, and Empty Nest.
