The Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association (GALECA) announced its nominations for their Dorian Awards given to the best in TV and movies in the past year. The winners will be announced on January 20th.
According to the group’s website, GALECA was formed in 2009 and “is comprised of critics and entertainment journalists who write on television and film for noteworthy media outlets accessible in the U.S… its annual Dorian Awards toast the finest in movies, TV shows and performances of all kinds, from mainstream to LGBTQ-centric.” In part, their mission is to “remind the world of our community’s influence on the screen arts and society at large as taste-makers and trendsetters.”
