NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ is a Little Late for Dinner

NBC announced today that the hotly anticipated (by me) third season of Hannibal will premiere at some point in the summer. Fans will remember that the first season debuted in April 2013 and last season dropped in February 2014. No reason has been given for the relative delay, though possibly it had something to do with the recasting of Mason Verger.

  1. Between filming in Europe, recasting Mason Verger, and having to cast Dolarhyde and other characters for the second half of the season, it makes sense that the premiere will be a little later.

At any rate, I’d rather Bryan Fuller & co. take their time than rush things.

    1. Yeah I can’t say I’m at all surprised. Since a date was so late in coming (I wasn’t paying attention last year to when it was announced) I figured it could happen. Waiting sucks, but it’s good to know the network is having the patience to let them do it right.
