RuPaul’s Emmy-nominated Gowns On Display

Gowns worn by RuPaul on RuPaul’s Drag Race have gone on display at LASC clothing in West Hollywood. The show returns to Logo TV on Thursday for a ninth season and was nominated for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program, and Zaldy Goco, Outstanding Costumes for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program.

Last season saw New York City’s Bob The Drag Queen sashay her way to the top and was crowned the winner in what was the most competitive season ever! After eight seasons of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent, RuPaul’s Drag Race has become more than a reality-competition series. Not only does it celebrate and accept fabulousness in every form, RuPaul himself remains the gold standard for every queen that takes the runway. Yes, Mama Ru is Supermodel of the World, but she’s also a friend, mentor and role model for the contestants appearing on her show. In its eighth season, RuPaul’s Drag Race  had one of the most-watched seasons in series history. The show’s ability to connect with an ever-growing audience while at the same time receiving rave reviews from major media outlets is a testament to RuPaul’s Drag Race’s ability to push boundaries creatively and intellectually.
