To quote the immortal RuPaul, “The wait is over, kittens!” After weeks and weeks of speculation, LOGO has announced the premiere date of the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Fans were becoming restless after the “Meet the Queens” introductory spots premiered with no definite date of when the show was coming back.
The seventh season will premiere on Monday, March 2nd, and if that’s not enough, there is now another preview for the upcoming season for the fans to gag over. We see guest judges (Kat Dennings? Yay! Mel B? Yay!), we see insane costumes and extreme cinched waists, and, of course, cocky queens and crying queens.
My biggest takeaway? Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews are seen multiple times on the judging panel alongside Ru and Michelle Visage. It was confirmed on Twitter that both Kressleyand Mathews have joined as permanent judges this season(Mathews stated, “I’ve never been more qualified to do anything in my entire life”). Regular fashionista judge Santino Rice must have been given the boot since he is nowhere to be seen, and that certainly won’t upset too many Drag Race fans.
