De Niro, Pacino in Righteous Kill

This is the new Righteous Kill trailer. I found this one from three months ago on YouTube and I think it’s a bit better. The new one seems like it’s trying too hard to look like a Scorsese movie. Either way, this one goes to the top of the pile for me for must-see; even if it’s bad I’ll be there with there with bells on.

It has a September release date, directed by Jon Avnet, original script by Inside Man (and Inside Man sequel) writer Russell Gewirtz. Inside Man was a film that was dumped early in the year because no one thought it had potential. It became a surprise hit but was ultimately ignored during awards season. It was the quiet Spike Lee comeback no one paid any attention to. That this movie was written by the same writer makes even more alluring.
