While I was building the beginnings of this year’s awards calendar I noticed that one of the big award shows comes early – the Critics Choice will happen on January 9th and I was wondering what the ratings were looking like so far. I now there are faithful readers who know the past scores of the BFCA (Critics Choice) but I just took a look at last year’s. And here is how it went down:
Juno: 93
No Country for Old Men: 91
Atonement: 87
Michael Clayton: 87
There Will Be Blood: 87
This year, The Dark Knight is looking at a fantastic score of 96.¬† Rachel Getting Married has 71. Changeling has 76. The Visitor has 78. Wall-E has 90. Man on Wire has 93. 96 is a hell of a score. Return of the King only has a 95. We’ll be watching the ratings as the Big Oscar Movies start to roll off the truck. As I said in the comments, it’s all making me very nervous that no one has seen any of these movies.¬† What I’m wondering is if there is any film so far this year that has bested The Dark Knight with the BFCA?
