Button at Number One Say O’Neil and Karger

Tom O’Neil has just posted his latest group predictions. So far, according to both O’Neil and Karger, the top four are:

1. Benjamin Button
2. Slumdog Millionaire
3. The Dark Knight
4. Frost/Nixon

And then the last slot varies. O’Neil says Revolutionary Road while Karger says Doubt for number five. O’Neil is mixing up his predictions these days and this time takes samples from a variety of people like Ed Douglas from Coming Soon, Susan Wloszczyna from USA Today and Thelma Adams from US Weekly. Four out of five think The Dark Knight is headed for the big show with only Wloszczyna holding out and instead choosing Milk. Thelma Adams also has faith in Milk. Slumdog is the only five for five (though in varying order).

For Best Actor three out of five say Frank Langella is the one to beat, while the two mentioned as possible winners are Sean Penn and only one for Mickey Rourke! Sean Penn, Frank Langella and Mickey Rourke go five for five in the nomination department. No mention of Brad Pitt for Benjamin Button?

Meryl Streep is in the lead for Doubt, with Kate Winslet close behind. Meryl Streep is the only actress going five for five.
