In Contention’s Year-End Awards

I’m often guilty of the “just because I didn’t get it doesn’t mean it isn’t good” curse. This was true with There Will Be Blood last year. I freely admit this. I think Kris Tapley over at In Contention is afflicted with that curse this year with regard to Wall-E, as he chooses Bolt as Best Animated Film. He found, he once told me, the film (Wall-E) to be a tad mean-spirited:
