Sure, the big studio movie “The Dark Knight” came up short, but that probably had less to do with who made it and how much it brought in than with a third act that left some moviegoers and Academy members cold and confused.
Nope. Last year’s Best Picture winner proved that theory untrue. I think we know why it wasn’t nominated. Plenty of films leave viewers cold and confused and still manage a nomination. Anyway, not to beat a dead and dying horse but…this shit don’t fly. “Cold and confused,” jeez, are they really THAT old? Oh, that was mean. Thorry.
