Can Big Love Possibly Get Any Better?

A funny recap but it really ain’t the half of it….

I am wondering how long it will take the Emmy voting committee or the Golden Globers to realize that Big Love is now the best show on television. Its first two seasons were rather tame, introducing the world of polygamy to us. But this season it has gone balls-out. This week’s was the weirdest yet. I can’t figure out if I like the “Bill’s son is attracted to his stepmother Margene” storyline, or the “Nikki pretended to be Margene to work for the District Attorney and fell in love with him” or the ongoing saga of the really wacky Roman Grant and his braided ilk. There isn’t a single television drama I look forward to more than this one. I am finding myself bored with Lost, I’m afraid, completely left behind and unable to catch up with 24 and have zero interest in American Idol this year. But Big Love? There is nothing else like it.
