Thanks to Bridgie James Rosenthal for letting us know the official Cannes line-up was announced overnight. The biggest disappointment is the absence of Tetro, but Francis Ford Coppola politely declined his Cannes invitation last week, saying a splashy premiere on La Croisette wouldn’t be true to the film’s indie spirit. Tetro will instead have its debut at the Seattle International Film Festival on June 10.
Here’s a complete list of the directors and their films we’ll be seeing in Cannes the week of May 13th- 24th, from Empire Online.
