James Rocchi reports a standing ovation for Robert Duvall and Sissy Spacek in the film Get Low, which he described as “story of redemption and salvation in ’30s America.” The film is helmed by cinematographer-turned-director Aaron Schneider. IMDb’s calls it, “A movie spun out of equal parts folk tale, fable and real-life legend about the mysterious, 1930s Tennessee hermit who famously threw his own rollicking funeral party… while he was still alive.” Robert Duvall is one of those actors who never, even in bad films, turns in a bad performance.¬† Duvall is also in The Road. In Get Low he is joined by Bill Murray and Spacek. And I can just hear the trailer, “Academy Award winner Robert Duvall, Academy Award winner Sissy Spacek, Academy Award nominee Bill Murray….”
