[UPDATE: Bumping our nominations ballot higher on the page for anyone who might have missed seeing it over the weekend.]
It’s that time of year again. Like last year we are offering the Awards Daily 2009 Nominations! You get to vote just like the members of the Academy. Their rules are our rules. Their preferential ballot process is your preferential ballot. Their list of eligible films will be our list. (Keep reading)
This year we have incorporated your feedback. We have included both Writing Categories, Editing, and Cinematography categories in addition to Picture, Directing, and all four Acting Categories. Also, not all categories are listed on one page; so you don’t have to have each category ready. Each branch has its own page.
The 274 titles come from the AMPAS list of eligible films. We have placed the frontrunners (as listed on the Awards Daily site) at the top of the list, with the secondary frontrunners below those.
Remember to rank your nominees according to what you think is best, not how you think the Academy will vote. Also, while you are asked for your top 5 in each (10 for Best Picture), you are actually choosing a priority on how you will cast your single vote–in accordance to the preferential balloting process.
The nomination process will be closed at January 10, 2010 at Midnight PST. The results will be tabulated, and we will have a final vote for best in each category at the end of the month.
