The Golden Globes will answer a few big question marks today. Even though the 100-member organization aren’t critics exactly, and they aren’t Oscar voters certainly, their votes can often influence the direction of the race by setting the tone. Remember, the Oscar race is almost always about perception. What film or performer is the perceived winner at this particular moment can sometimes be defined by how the HFPA votes.
Tom O’Neil has a comprehensive list of predictions from many a pundit — like Peter Travers and Sam Rubin. Check it out. We’re going to do our own little list as well – I have changed mine since I sent them to Tom.
Our participants so far are:
Anne Thompson, Indiewire
Damien Bona, Inside Oscar
Scott Feinberg, And the Winner Is
Steve Pond, The Wrap
Dave Karger, EW
Craig Kennedy, Living in Cinema
Peter Knegt, Indiewire
Erik Childress, Cinematical & eFilmcritic
Edward Douglas, Coming Soon
Jeff Wells, Hollywood Elsewhere
Kris Tapley, In Contention
Tom O’Neil, Gold Derby
