Awards love gives The Hurt Locker a major boost in rentals. The Hurt Locker may be David to Avatar’s Goliath, but there is something to be said for an actual “little movie that could.” Usually that’s just a marketing ploy; here it is the reality.
According to Reuters, “The Hurt Locker” bumped “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” to No. also scored an “impressive victory on the Nielsen VideoScan Blu-ray Disc sales chart.”
Also worth noting, Roger Ebert, who really does give good Twitter, is having Avatar-after-thoughts, as in, “loved the movie,” but…his Tweet:
