Avatar leads with ten nods, but a few other Oscar contenders are in the mix for the Saturn Awards. Avatar was not nominated as Sci Fi, but rather Fantasy. These nominations remind me of “if the internet ran the Oscars.” It is truly an orgiastic gathering of all films that dominate most movie sites. Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver all get acting nominations, along with Melanie Laurent for Inglourious Basterds.¬†¬† Viggo Mortensen also lands a nod at last for The Road.
