We could all learn a lesson from the wise young Gabby Sidibe. When asked about the recent Vanity Fair shoot that advertised “only young white girls are the future of Hollywood,” Gabby kind of shrugged it off:
“At first I thought, ‘Hmm, should I be there?” Sidibe recently told Access Hollywood. “Then I very quickly got over it. I think if I were a part of that shoot I would have felt a little left out anyway. Whether or not I should have been there, [It] doesn’t matter, because I wasn’t on it and I’m excited to be mentioned anywhere, and it doesn’t matter to me where I’m not mentioned.”
She has certainly been mentioned here, there and everywhere. And she’s currently sitting pretty with an Oscar nomination – if that isn’t Hollywood 2010 I don’t know what is. Go, Gabby, Go.
