As we head out of September and into the true heat of Oscar season, it is time to turn our attention to those who may get left behind in the excitement. This is a casualty of the mania that swells around the next three or four months. It happens every year. It is the aim of Craig Kennedy, Ryan Adams and I to make part of our next podcast about the forgotten films we hope people still remember, but I thought before we do I would open it up to you readers.
Mine would be: Shutter Island for Best Picture, Marion Cotillard for Best Supporting Actress, Another Year for Picture, Director, Screenplay, Actress (or Supporting), Supporting Actor, Jennifer Lawrence for Winter’s Bone. And The Tillman Story for Documentary. Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling for Blue Valentine.
