The Town, Social Network, Hereafter Still Box Office Strong

Hereafter increased its theater count over the weekend and that drove it to the fifth spot this weekend.¬† The Social Network still shows a low drop-off, as does The Town, which continues its march towards $100 mil. I’m still wondering whether The Town has the stuff to make the top ten. It doesn’t seem to be going away.

Going for it: Actor-turned-director makes good on promise, large ensemble cast of well liked actors, major box office success, strong word of mouth by “the people.”

Against it: doesn’t have the snob factor.
