There is something about Twitter, as opposed to Facebook or any other social networking giant, that is more suited to sussing out how people, or Tweeple, are responding to film.
Twitter is a great place for picking up on audience interest, and whether or not they liked the film the day they saw it. I am currently following the #socialnetwork trending topic and the film is getting probably 90% rave reviews from users of Twitter, its primary demographic.
So, a smart developer named Ram Singh created Mombo.com, a Twitter integrated film site which I find not only highly cool (you have to love a great idea), but also quite useful.
It’s in the beginning stages, but I think it will fit in nicely with Metacritic, Boxoffice.com and Twitter itself.
