Jane Eyre poster plays misty for me

Courtly poster for Jane Eyre, the latest of roughly 2 dozen adaptations of the Charlotte Bronte classic, this time directed by Cary Fukunaga (Sin Nombre). Starring Mia Wasikowska as the eponymous heroine and Michael Fassbender as Rochester the film also stars Jamie Bell , Imogen Poots, Judi Dench and Sally Hawkins. Fukunaga reunites with his Sundance Festival award-winning cinematographer Adriano Goldman and if the 2 stills on after the cut are any clue the moors look to be evocatively voluptuous and gauzy. Costumes by BAFTA- and Oscar-winning designer Michael O’Connor (The Duchess).

Focus Features has Jane Eyre slated for March 11, so we won’t have to wait long for a suitor with whom we can rebound from whatever rejections we suffer on Oscar Night. The poster and stills are debuting on Facebook.
