Kung Fu Panda 2, trailer & poster

ok, ok, I know the outcry of conventional wisdom still scorns Kung Fu Panda for sweeping the Annies in 2008 when everybody’s darling was WALL-E. But there’s always been room in my heart for both films and after the dust settles I try to stop wringing my hands about what movie won what trophy each season. In any other year, Kung Fu Panda would have been an very worthy Oscar winner. I will say this about Dreamworks: they never loose sight of the fact that their primary target audience is children. And for me, as far as humor and sheer fun, movies like Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon often succeed better as pure joyride entertainment than the more cerebral offerings from Pixar.
