Giveaway – Your Oscar Story

We did this last year and it was wonderful reading what many of you readers had to say about your first and most important Oscar moment.  How did you lose your virginity?

My half-obsession with predicting the Oscars started when The Silence of the Lambs beat Bugsy. ¬†I knew that it was going to beat Bugsy but it seemed like no one else did. Looking back on history you would wonder, how could it lose? ¬†Yet many thought heading into the race that it was Bugsy’s to lose. ¬†Though Jodie Foster’s second win for Best Actress baffled me a little, it was more than thrilling to see my own personal favorite film of that year (and still one of my all-time favorites) not just win the Oscar for Best Picture, but taking Actor, Actress, Director and Screenplay. ¬†That was a great year.
