You’ll also recall that Ware (author of the graphic novel Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth) created the dreamy uneasy artwork for Savages a couple of years ago. To capture the essence of this haunting Thai ghost story, (which includes scenes of sex with a catfish and ghost monkeys), Ware says he tried to create something “punchy and strange, so as to draw viewers in and pique their curiosity without, hopefully, insulting their intelligence”. (Creativity)
