PGA, DGA and Oscar Nominations deadlines

Last year, for the first time in as long as anyone could remember the DGA ballots were turned in before Oscar nominations were announced. This year, the Producers Guild announces a full week before AMPAS’ ballot deadline. But the DGA’s nominations come just one day ahead of the Oscar ballot deadline. That means there is a good chance the DGA and Oscar might not match 5/5 or even 4/5, like last year’s debacle which left off Kathryn Bigelow for Zero Dark Thirty, Ben Affleck for Argo (the winner), and Quentin Tarantino for Django Unchained.

January 2, 2014 – Producers Guild announce nominations
January 7, 2014 – Directors Guild announce nominations
January 8, 2014 – Oscar ballot deadline
