Final Day of Oscar Voting – Dear Academy, Hear My Plea!

In our ongoing tradition of throwing ourselves at the mercy of 6,000 Oscar who don’t care about us, here is your chance to beg. Send your plea out into the ether in hopes that someone, somewhere hears. Insert comment about why none of this really matters THAT MUCH and how no one needs a gold statue to confirm his/her validity, and how winning of these is often worse than not winning one (Bunuel), but still, we all want to see our favorites up on stage, right? Buzzkill notwithstanding…

Dear Academy, hear my plea…I have spent a whole year on this one so I needn’t repeat it now but if I had three I’d go: McQueen for director, Let it Go for Best Song, Lupita Nyong’o for Supporting. But truly, this is such a good year there aren’t bad winners.
