I love how people who haven’t even seen The Judge are commenting on it. I’ve seen it twice and it’s excellent. RDJ and Duvall both deserve Oscars – there are some extremely intense scenes, and they are two of the greatest actors of our time.
ROBERT DOWNEY JR. is far overdue for an Oscar. I’ve actually seen The Judge twice now, and he is excellent – so is Robert Duvall. This is a movie that audiences will love. WE LOVE YOU RDJ.

It isn’t supposed to be a popularity vote, you are supposed to pick who you think is most likely to get nominated for best actor. No way in hell is Robert Downy Jr getting nominated. Why is Keaton and Carrell so far down and also James McAvoy sadly doesn’t have a hope either, neither does Rickman. At least Cumberbatch actually is likely to get nominated but 117,000 votes?

I just saw “Boyhood” and can’t determine if Ethan Hawke is supporting or a co-star with the other 2 main actors.
If you are an Ethan Hawke fan (who isn’t?), then I recommend this movie wholeheartedly. His performance is funny, smart, moving, and real. Not a false note in it. He seamlessly dissolves into the role of the father and he takes us on a journey where parenthood is a learned, often brutal, life experience.

I think Philip Seymour Hoffman was quoted saying that Viggo Mortensen was one of the masters of the profession. Criminally underrated for years and years until Lord of the Rings opened everyone’s eyes. He’s in Witness for like two minutes and totally owning it. He’s kind of like Harrison Ford for me, taken for granted when no one realizes how hard it is to pull off what he’s doing. Would love to see him gain traction for something. I agree wholeheartedly with his recently revealed views on the Lord of the Rings movies and The Hobbit. This guy is the real deal.
Less easy to predict than the Actress category, but I’d say:
