A new poster for The Imitation Game has been unveiled. The poster features Benedict Cumberbatch who plays Alan Turing. Turing was responsible for cracking the German Enigma code, and the poster’s tagline says, “Behind every code is an enigma.”
The film also stars Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode and Mark Strong. It was directed by Morten Tyldum (Headhunters).
The Imitation Game was the recipient of the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be be recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan award at the Hamptons International Film Festival. Cumberbatch is tipped to receive his first Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Turing.
Generic. That’s the route they’re taking toward Oscar glory, and they know exactly what they’re doing.
