Variety just broke the story that Neil Patrick Harris, currently romancing Ms. Amy in Gone Girl will host this year’s Oscars. The wonderfully funny actor is a crowdpleaser and will definitely keep the show entertaining throughout. He’s hosted the Emmys twice, the Tonys and now he’ll add the Oscars to his list, Variety’s Tim Gray says, bringing that much closer to the EGOT. Here he is performing at the Oscars in 2010. Last year’s show brought the highest ratings in 14 years.

And Neil Patrick Harris hosting the Oscars. I’m nuetral about it. He’s going to be good and his catering to a younger audience rather than older audience so except those Marvel movies to be nominated in the technical categories. He was great with the tonys, pretty good at the emmys and I think he will bring out a big musical number and then start the awards.
OT: For those interested, EW has put out a great article on Interstellar. Here it is.

Bryce, who cares?
Bob, he could sing Sugar Daddy to Harvey Weinstein lol
I’d tune in for that.
