Directed by Clint Eastwood, American Sniper stars Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle, the Navy Seal who is on record as holding the most sniper kills.
Jason Hall adapted the script from Kyle’s autobiography, and follows his journey from rodeo star to America’s most lethal sniper. Sienna Miller, Jake McDorman, Luke Grimes, Navid Negahban and Keir O’Donnell also star in the film which is set to open on Christmas Day.
A new poster was unveiled today showing Cooper in uniform with the tagline “The Most Lethal Sniper in U.S History.”
If you haven’t already seen the trailer, we get our first look of Cooper playing Kyle, showing us glimpses of his life. Many Oscar pundits have put this on their prediction lists. What are your thoughts?
Spot on with this write-up, I seriously believe this site needs a lot more attention. I’ll probably be back again to
read through more, thanks for the info!
I don’t like it.
Why are they still trying to make me not want to see this. I already didn’t.
Despite his odd habit of upbraiding empty chairs, the Academy still loves their Clint Eastwood, and they also love Bradley Cooper, will he get his third Oscar nom in as many years?
LOL
“War isn’t black and white.”
Except when Tom Stern is filming–hiyoooo!
You guys saying Chris Kyle is our next greatest President?
Anyone who’s a halfway decent shot with a sniper rifle will have no trouble recarving Mount Rushmore.
Are they saying that a person with a gun is as influential as a man with his words and passion? War isn’t black and white.
You guys saying Chris Kyle is our next greatest President? I doubt this is half as good as FURY — and I know how foolish that sounds.
I thought the same thing, Joey. Right down to the identical title font. Identical.
^^^Extremely.
As much as I want to see this, can’t they think of something a bit more original or compelling? This could be the cover of any straight-to-DVD action movie…like Jarhead 2. At least it doesn’t have Cooper running toward us with his gun.
