Thanks, Vanity Fair, for all dirty sexy search terms. Need to see more? After the cut, topless Jennifer Lawrence holds a huge cockatoo, I kid you not.
From Vanity Fair:
Last July 29, on a Patrick Demarchelier shoot at a private residence in the Hollywood Hills, a giant Colombian red-tailed boa constrictor spent most of the day cooped up in a perforated, extra-large storage container managed by two very capable handlers… there was frightfully little between the boa and Jennifer Lawrence — only a long metal rod with a hook at the end. The actress proved to be very brave and nonchalant about having a serpent wrapped around her body — an homage to the 1981 Richard Avedon Vogue portrait of Nastassja Kinski that launched a million dorm-room posters—and coolly focused her eyes on the camera. “Jennifer has the perfect combination of strength, sexuality, and humor, and, above all, tomboy to pull this off,” says V.F. fashion and style director Jessica Diehl, who styled the shoot.
Lawrence only became uncomfortable when the snake took a fancy to her neck. Then the shoot was over and the Boa went back in the box.
Get back in the box where you belong, you bad bad boa!

(Click the links below each photo to get the huge super-size shots.)
For scholarly comparison’s sake, here’s the iconic Natasha Kinski Richard Avedon shot from 1981.
The theme for Jennifer’s recent VF photo shoot? Should be entitled “Winter’s Boner”.
backpedaling is my superpower.
The Best Backpedaling Commentary ever. Congratulations Ryan.
I’m not even gonna continue this debate with Riva Still Lost, whereby this illiterate troll doesn’t even realise that they wrote one thing on one line and then contradicted it on another.
Are we allowed to ban users just for sheer idiocy? Cos this wanker’s top of the fucking list.
Scott Mendelson wrote about this at Forbes today, with his usual sober level-headed logic:
The lines in bold are exactly what I said at the top of the page, although Scott has phrased it more eloquently.
Here, this other line in bold is exactly what Antoinette said on this page a few hours ago.
And believe me, when a celebrity does “decide if pictures are released into the realm of public consumption,” any smart celebrity who’s concerned about being in control of his or her image will make sure that they are compensated handsomely for whatever images of themselves they choose to make available. They don’t give away freebies for public consumption.
That’s what I said; that’s all I said. Anyone who wants to throw a fit about that is welcome to rant all week long about it, but none of your defensiveness will change the fundamental workings of Hollywood’s financial reality.
Whoever said respected actresses don’t do revealing photo shoots might have a pretty narrow definition since pretty much everyone under 40 has done them.
Actresses have been doing revealing photoshoots and pushing the limits of what was thought to be acceptable for over 100 years. That’s one thing we love about actresses and actors and Hollywood in general — they’re able to redefine what’s acceptable and actually pull the rest of society along whenever they push boundaries.
You honestly don’t see more than what one would if she was wearing a bikini. Kate Upton became famous by being a swimsuit model but her posing for swimsuit photos in the past doesn’t mean it’s okay for people to hack her phone and release full frontal naked pictures in a private setting against her consent. I don’t get why it’s seemingly so difficult to people of wrap their heads around that.
1. First of all, a lot of the hacking victims had done photo shoots in the past, but most them had ever done full frontal nudity. I can walk around on beach wearing a swimsuit but that doesn’t mean I’d be okay doing it naked. Even the law recognizes the difference and I’d be fined for the latter. Not to mention there were apparently photos and videos of some of the victims having sex. I’m pretty sure none of those had ever consented to doing porn either.
2. Secondly and most importantly, as Antoinette said, it’s about consent. Even if someone agrees to do a naked photo shoot, it doesn’t mean their bodies became public property and anyone can photograph them naked or publish naked photos of them without their consent. In the same way actresses might consent doing a naked sex scene in a movie if they feel it’s important to the story or has artistic value while declining to do it in a different movie if they dislike how the nudity would be portrayed. And that is totally fine. Or I can agree to have sex with my boyfriend today while having the right to refuse to do so tomorrow. Just because I have had consensual sex with someone in the past doesn’t mean doing so in the future without my consent isn’t rape.
3. Whoever said respected actresses don’t do revealing photo shoots might have a pretty narrow definition since pretty much everyone under 40 has done them. Jessica Chastain did an underwear shoot for GQ during her Oscar campaign which Sasha even complimented here on AD and I remember seeing Marion Cotillard posing nude for some Russian magazine last year. You can’t get much more respected than those two.
3. As a Northern European, I’m more used to seeing full frontal nudity both male and female in movies, tv shows and even some advertisements so I have difficulty wrapping my mind around the American attitudes towards nudity. I feel we have a much more normalized attitude towards it and it’s less often sexualized in the same way as in the US. The nudity also isn’t limited to young and attractive people but also can apply to older, middle aged actors or overweight ones if it’s a scene in a sauna or something like that. Even in French movies nudity is more common and pretty much every French actress has done a topless scene at least once and it’s seen as a no big deal. I don’t understand why the MPAA ratings in the US treat male and female nudity so differently.
^^^Lmao who the fuck are you?
@PADDY MULHOLLAND
Well clearyl reading isn’t your thing.
“But you know you can still console yourself.Because she won most of the awards from critics groups.Oh wait again!Emmanuelle Riva won 5 critics awards while Jessica Chastain winning 16 and Jennifer Lawrence winning 15”
You can still console yourself because she(Emmanuelle Riva) won most of the awards from critics group. And then I wrote “Oh wait again!” because Emmanuelle Riva didn’t win most of the awards from critics groups. She won 5 awards while Chastain winning 16. and JLaw winning 15.Do you understand me now? Or are you still reading things with your ass?
I was pulling for Riva, too. And, just so you know Ry, you’re my favorite person on this site.
Also, ‘Riva Still Lost’:
Joseph’s comment above, which you quoted and seem to have taken umbrage at, does not attempt to claim that Jennifer is pissed off because she didn’t get paid for her leaked nudes. Joseph mentions that the pictures weren’t released on her own terms, and you mention that they were private. Those are, for all intents and purposes, the same.
Anyway I never said JLaw won most of the critics awards.I meabt both Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence won more awards than Riva.A lot more, actually. And If you’re not smart enough to understand this then well you better GTFU of here.
Actually, ‘Riva Still Lost’, this is what you wrote:
Because she won most of the awards from critics groups.
No, alas, no-one is smart enough to understand what you meant, because what you wrote completeley contradicted what you apparently meant. So no, not gonna ‘GTFU of here’, whatever that means. Your grasp of the methods of communication is pretty pathetic.
Lol it’s clear that you’re pissed at JLaw because she won over Riva.Jesus It has been 2 years.Get over it.
No, that’s not clear at all. And I’m not pissed off at JLaw because she won over Emmanuelle Riva. I’m pissed off at The Academy for that. I don’t need to get over it though, because there’s not very much to have to ‘get over’. It hardly haunts me on a daily basis. In fact, I rather like Jennifer Lawrence. Always have. Don’t recall ever having insulted her, nor thought negatively of her at all.
Eat it.
Movie star right there!
But can we move away from this tomboy thing regarding her. I know she was a self-professed bit of a tomboy growing up. But I fail to see what her being a tomboy has to do with these pictures. Apparently “beauty” or “intelligence” don’t play nicely “strength, sexuality, and humor.” It just seems such a juvenile word to describe a grown woman.
The cockatoo photo is taken from the famous Helmut Newton portrait of Elizabeth Taylor. Nothing new there either. https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8087/8470311484_7bd46a407e_z.jpg

“And Ryan’s point is reasonable and not sexist. She clearly has no problem sexing it up and showing her body (Her Esquire photoshoot long before the leak is proof of this), so it makes sense to say that she was pissed when the photos leaked because they weren’t released on her own terms. ”
And we’re trying to say you that she is not pissed because she didn’t get paid for her leaked photos. We’re trying to say that she is pissed because those were PRIVATE(I hope you know what this word means) photos. This means THE PHOTOS WERE NEVER MEANT TO BE PUBLIC.I hope you can understand that and I hope you give up that idiot sexist 4chan guy attitude.
Fucking right, Antoinette! Well said!
But rly, you’ve got to have several billion synapses drawing total blanks to display such pathetic devotion to an actor. She’s pretty and talented and rich, and y’all defend her so doggedly that you take offence at any statements that are even slightly short of exultant at her contribution to society?
We’re all in fucking danger here. Post anything less than an endorsement of Jennifer Lawrence’s supreme superiority over the human race and you’ll be eaten alive by her fucking delusional devotees.
Honestly, a healthily functioning human being cannot display this kind of behaviour in earnest. It’s not possible. A whole bunch of commenters on this page today are fucking ridiculous.
Nothing wrong with this post. Jennifer Lawrence is a public figure. She took these particular photos for public consumption. She made money taking the pictures. END OF STORY.
And Ryan’s point is reasonable and not sexist. She clearly has no problem sexing it up and showing her body (Her Esquire photoshoot long before the leak is proof of this), so it makes sense to say that she was pissed when the photos leaked because they weren’t released on her own terms. Another way of saying this is that she views her body as her property (of course it is!), and if she’s going to sell it (like with these photoshoots), she better get paid for it.
People have to stop calling everything sexist. Jennifer Lawrence knows exactly what she’s doing.
The fucking trolls that have emerged on this post are outrageous.
But you know you can still console yourself.Because she won most of the awards from critics groups.Oh wait again!Emmanuelle Riva won 5 critics awards while Jessica Chastain winning 16 and Jennifer Lawrence winning 15.OK.I understand you.The only way for consoling yourself is making sexist and disgusting comments about JLaw and her body. You can keep doing this because that’s what pathetic losers do.And that’s why you should keep doing this.
You can’t even articulate your complaint(s) adequately. Furthermore, the notion that there’s at all a level playing field with different voting bodies during awards season is hilarious; only a person srsly uneducated in the characteristics of end-of-year film awards would put any stock in these statistics reflecting on the quality or worthiness of winners. You also contradict yourself in detailing precisely how Jennifer Lawrence didn’t win most of the Best Actress critics awards that year, despite claiming that she had done.
Not a single person on this page has yet proved why it is sexist to state that Jennifer Lawrence is happy with people seeing herself naked as long as she gets paid for it. If she wasn’t happy with that, she wouldn’t have fucking posed naked for Patrick Demarchelier. Bitch plz. You fucking JLaw stans need to grow the fuck up / shut the fuck up. No time for this shit.
I guess this is the flipside to getting more pageviews…
That’s like saying someone can’t complain about being raped if they had sex the year before. You’re an idiot. And anyone else who doesn’t understand the difference between having nude photos done for publication and having private photos stolen from you and broadcast against your will is morally deficient.
Oh gosh, Antoinette, I don’t think I’ve ever loved you so much.
I tripped over my snake right after I made my last comment. Must be karma.
the bigger they are, the harder etc
live by the sword, die by the etc
Are you bothered that she’s become so successful?
I need to think about this… oy, success, so annoying! gee, maybe I wish everyone in hollywood would fail, so movies would cease to exist…. gosh, maybe I only want to see movies made by unsuccessful people… you’ve certainly given me a lot to ;ponder with your deep psychoanalysis.
can’t you get some of your friends from other Jennifer Lawrence defense teams to come and hassle me for posting photos of Jennifer Lawrence that she is rightfully proud to allow to be published?
It’s been a big wase of my time putting this complicated post together if you’re the only person who shows up to scold me.
@Ryan Adams
More you speak and more is clear that you have resentment versus this actress. Are you bothered that she’s become so successful?
^HA!
Yeah – ya got my number.
Sorry for the delayed response – I tripped over my snake right after I made my last comment. Must be karma.
she’s the top-grossing movie actor and the most valuable star of 2014 and she’s the IT girl since three years
yeah, steve50, JLaw is top-grossing star of 2014 and it has nothing whatsoever to do with being hot or sexy or posing in bikinis dripping wet in 2010, the same year she was devoted to indie movies, nobody cared about whether she was sexy or not
seriously, why are you being sexist, JLaw hardly posed for Esquire wet and half-naked with her legs at ladylike angels, hardly at at all in 2010, the year Winter’s Bone came out, so shut up your mouth trying to say anybody cares about her breasts or any other parts of her body
because she is top-grossing star because of how she hardly ever talks about how she pees in public or other pee stories that make people think about her pee habits or anything that happens down there in her personal private parts at all, because she is PRIVATE about that. so just stop listening whenever she tells a pee story, because that’s private and you’re not meant to hear it if you’re only going to think sexist things
so shut up steve50 you don’t know anything about how actresses get famous, it sure never has nothing to do with their appearance and you must be sexist if you notice that Jlaw is sexy, because she does not want to be known for that, she just likes taking off all her clothes for magazines sometimes , like most normal people do,
and so what if she lets people take pics of her with no clothes on, that’s got nothing to do with anything, it’s not any publicity or anything, it’s probably just because she is friendly and down to earth,
even if she only got paid $50,000 or $100,000 from VF, that kind money is nothing to her, I bet she even tried to give VF the money back and probably just wanted to get naked for that magazine for free, but not because of trying to look sexy, NO, shut up about anything sexy, it proves how sexist you are if you look at a girl’s naked pic and all you think about is “wow, hot” then you’re one of those people with sexist mentality
go study these pics from 2010, the year of Winter’s Bone and don’t come back until you can stop thinking there was any sexy intention behind these pics. she never used her body to get anywhere in hollywood, you must be crazy if you think that, crazy or sexist
JLaw never wants anybody to think about sex when they look at her, because she is already too popular as it is without trying to get the attention of people who think she is sexy.
Lesbian snake? *lol*
Okaaayyyyy………
That REALLY cracked me up to no end.
But how she could talk about be ashamed from anyone posting and seeing her naked pictures last year if she already did a nude photoshoot to be posted and be seen by everyone? They wait 3 months to “Wet our appetites” #hypocrisy
That’s like saying someone can’t complain about being raped if they had sex the year before. You’re an idiot. And anyone else who doesn’t understand the difference between having nude photos done for publication and having private photos stolen from you and broadcast against your will is morally deficient.
@steve50
JLaw doesn’t need a snake to sell tickets. Mockingjay is the first movie of the year, she’s the top-grossing movie actor and the most valuable star of 2014 and she’s the IT girl since three years
But how she could talk about be ashamed from anyone posting and seeing her naked pictures last year if she already did a nude photoshoot to be posted and be seen by everyone? They wait 3 months to “Wet our appetites” #hypocrisy
You should feel ashamed of yourself about that ridiculous comment you wrote. I mean really? Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t mind us see her naked if she’s actually paid for it?? Do you know how much money she makes in general? I mean these photo-shoot covers are nothing compared to what she gets for her films and even in her contract with a brand like Dior! If you have any idea about Lawrence or if you have followed her career steps since the beginning, you would conclude that it was never about the money in general, never! She started by doing very small indie films, she has always had a passion for real acting in exciting projects. Even her first paycheck for THG when she decided to go mainstream was small compared to some of her other castmates when she was the actual lead! And when it comes to her stolen photos, you’re now no better than the ones who hacked her icloud account and published her intimate photos to the world, do you really compare this VF photo which is artistic and its idea was done several times ago before and where none of her private parts are really visible to the ones which were hacked? the ones that were destined for her bf with full frontal and other sexy/goofy poses? These were private, learn the difference! She should have a control over her body and what she wants to show and what not! She owns her body and she never intended for her stolen pictures to go out public, it’s not about money! I bet no money in the world would compensate her embarrassment and anger when she discovered that thousands of people masturbated to her private naked photos! If she wanted to go full frontal on screen or in her photos, she would have done a playboy magazine photo shoot or a movie where she actually shows everything! Get over yourself, you’re embarrassing both yourself and this site by publishing such silly opinions! Writers should be objective, and there is no objectivity whatsoever in what you said. Pathetic excuse for writing really!
– “Her legs look kind of short on that first shot… maybe because the snake is so long, I don’t know…”
– common problem – I share her pain.
I must go lie down for awhile now.
“Her legs look kind of short on that first shot… maybe because the snake is so long, I don’t know…”
– common problem – I share her pain.
The difference between this post and the Meryl post above? Some actors doen’t need a damn snake to sell tickets.
^
haha
you’re adorable.
that’s me alright. Ryan Adams, famous for thinking sexuality is gross. you know me so well.
The rampant misogyny and fake morale in this comment section including the “author” can compete perfectly with the comments section of any YT video. Of course a woman have to give the perception of purity, women and sexuality is gross and bad for them!!one
I posted sexy Jared Leto photos during Oscar season last year and I posted a sizzling hot item about Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis and their girl-on-girl scene in Black Swan – a post that literally got hundreds of thousands of page views.
Are YOU happy now?
If you think I don’t like naked actors getting naked then allow me to introduce you to me. I’m the guy who loves to see attractive naked people.
And Marion Cotillard did softcore porn.I am guessing you’re even more happy now.
Mrs Res / Kitty — you’re probably not trying to trick anybody into thinking you’re more than one person because you’re clearly continuing your identical conversation with another ID.
But ordinarily we like it when readers choose one ID and stick with it. That way your side of the conversation is easier to follow in the thread, and we avoid the misleading impression that you have a lot of different people on your team, ok?
Small thing, but that’s how we do things around here. Glad to have you join us.
@RYAN ADAMS
Jared leto posed nake for Terry Richardson (A PERSON VERY PROBEMATIC) in 2014, Portman for Rouge Dior. They are some of the actors that have posed naked. Are you happy now?
You can make sexist comments about JLaw all day and all night long ,you can say ”She is doing this for money!MONEY!MONEY!MONEY” or ”She wants to be paid. She says you wanna see me naked? Pay me” but Riva still lost. Not only Oscar.A lot of other awards, too.Like Critics Choice.Or SAG and Golden Globe.Oh wait! She wasn’t even nominated for them,LOL.But you know you can still console yourself.Because she won most of the awards from critics groups.Oh wait again!Emmanuelle Riva won 5 critics awards while Jessica Chastain winning 16 and Jennifer Lawrence winning 15.OK.I understand you.The only way for consoling yourself is making sexist and disgusting comments about JLaw and her body. You can keep doing this because that’s what pathetic losers do.And that’s why you should keep doing this.
You write articles like this every time that an actress, singer have a shoot like this? I don’t think so.
nope, because this isn’t gawker or TMZ or PerezHilton. This is primarily an Oscar-oriented site, so I normally only pay attention to the beautiful nude photos of Oscar winners. Are there some new nude photos of Marion Cottilard with slithery reptiles between her legs? Please link me to those. I’d love to see them.
Let me know when you find the nude Jared Leto photo spread and I promise to post them with the same amount of tongue in cheek.
@Julian the Emperor
Riva wasn’t robbed. Some people said Lawrence only won for being the hot starlet and THG. Now, when you rewatch her, Chastain, Riva and Watts, it came with that. Lawrence created a personage, a woman with human dilemas. In “Amour”, it’s Trintignant the real MVP and the human face of the story. Chastain was mostly a “McGuffin” element to follow the story. And the latter three were mostly pasive characters defined for the circunstances
@RYAN ADAMS
But you don’t understand that your tone and the way you speak about this that it’s the problem? You write articles like this every time that an actress, singer have a shoot like this? I don’t think so.
@JULIAN THE EMPEROR And Riva wasn’t robbed. Trintignat was robbed because he was the MVP of Amour
^
yeah, I post sexy photos that I love to see of Jennifer Lawrence, — photos that she made because she wants people to see them — because I’m trying to be mean to her. I’m so angry and mean, helping to link to the publicity material she created. I’m terrible.
Sorry, I guess you want me to just bow down and pretend not to notice the selling of sex appeal when a magazine publisheds blatantly gorgeous sexy photos. I’m just supposed to go, “wow, she’s priddy,” and not make any other remarks about the fact that some actresses are able to enhance their images by doing sensational things?
We’re just supposed to consume the nude photos in respectful solemn silence? Not be playful or raise any eyebrow or have any fun with the snake in her buttcrack? Because it’s like a sacred religious celebrity ritual, or what?
You do that. You do what you want to do. I’ll do what I want to do, alright?
You still haven’t forgiven her for winning that OSCAR, have you, Ry?
Rita: What was sexist about Ryan’s comment? Can’t someone admire the fun in a photo shoot and present it in their own way? I didn’t find anything sexist in Ryan’s remarks at all. Sheesh. Can’t people have a sense of humor anymore about being sexy?
For my part, I got a kick out of the photos. VF always shoots interesting stuff. And the photos are beautiful and artistically presented.
My favorite? The picture of her coming out of the pool. AWESOME.
Now, if they could only get her to present an Oscar with the boa wrapped around her neck, wouldn’t THAT BE FUN? It would bring the house down. AMPAS? Are you listening?
That pic was taken on July well BEFORE the leaks.
what difference does that make?
I’m not saying Jennifer Lawrence suddenly decided AFTER the hack that she needed to get paid to disrobe in front of a camera. I’m saying that she has always wanted to get paid to disrobe in front of a camera — like thousands and thousands of professionals.
How is that sexist? Men do it too. This photo is news today. This session happens to be today’s photo session sensation.
Gee, I wonder if Vanity Fair or Jennifer Lawrence had any idea that people would be talking about the naked photos today. I think probably so. I think they probably planned all along for people to be talking about the naked photos.
It has nothing to do with an Oscar. But yes, it’s got quite a lot to do with career choices — and this photo shoot is a savvy career choice.
Thanks for pointing out to me that Jennifer Lawrence is not the first person “to make this kind of pic” — now I will go see if I can find any of these kind of pics of other people!
yay, it’s almost as if that’s the reason such photos exist: for people to look at them and for other people to get enormous sums of money for making them.
It has nothing to do with sexism. Everything to do with selling whatever can be sold.
@Ryan Adams
Couldn’t agree with you more, you nailed the point.
And it’s Nastassja Kinski, not Natasha Kinski.
@Ryan Adams
I think that yor comment is sexist and it’s one of the most problematic *beep* I’ve ever read from a person. She’s an actress and isn’t the first to make this kind of pics. That pic was taken on July well BEFORE the leaks. You shoul be ashamed of yourself. She’s one of the best actress of her generation, she has an Oscar ans a bright career ahead.
I actually think she was upset a the hacking BECAUSE it was intrusive and she had no say. I don’t think it had anything to do with money. It was her choice to show off her body in a magazine. It wasn’t her choice for the world to see private pictures.
Love her. I can’t imagine what she’d be capable of working with the right directors. I don’t see her entourage letting her work with the likes of Derek Cianfrance or Andrea Arnold (both certainly akin to Debra Granik, no?), or even a Spike Jonze. I thought she improved considerably in the role of Mystique in last year’s DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. MOCKINGJAY PART 1 was a boring and incompetent for the most part.
And if you guys recall, I was one of main mourners about the number these people did on Emmanuelle Riva. It’s so laughable and infuriating to this very day. Sigh.
To give this post some semblance of a veneer of cultural context, I’m adding the Natasha Kinski/Richard Avedon photo to the gallery above, so people can contemplate the, um, genesis of this pose. So now it’s not porn anymore.
It sucks that such a good actress, Oscar winner and box office draw still has to resort to this shit. Nothing changes.
Her legs look kind of short on that first shot… maybe because the snake is so long, I don’t know…
I absolutely agree with Ryan, that this only goes to show that J Law wants to cash in on her body. It’s her most valuable asset, after all. That and a talent for appearing on talk shows with her pre-fabricated goofiness. But is this the most acute or fitting response to the whole celebrity hacking thing?
This is the girl who robbed Riva. Still kills me to think about it.
To be frank, I get the impression that Jennifer Lawrence has always been pragmatic about the hacking incident. I think Jennifer Lawrence is not easily embarrassed and certainly (obviously) not shy about showing off her great body. I think a large part of the justified fury she felt towards the hackers was because she knows her image is literally a hot commodity. But her body belongs to her. Naturally she wants to be in control of how much people get to see of her assets. The hackers invaded her privacy, violated intimate moments, stole a valuable thing, and gave it away for free.
Not sure how many of the other hacked celebrities have the same attitude, but from things I read Jennifer Lawrence say about it, I believe part of message was this: “Want to see me naked? I get paid for that. I make movies and do sexy photo shoots where my nakedness can be seen in the best light. Pay to see those. Enjoy the images of myself that I choose to sell. Then it’s on my terms, not yours.”
I know my attitude in writing this post is a little edgy, and of course that’s deliberate. That’s what I’m trying to touch upon: When professional photos like this get published, it’s for one reason: so everybody involved can get money. It’s a publicity tool. When I see photos and like them, I’m happy to help with the publicity. There’s no reason to be coy about what’s going on.
Nothing wrong with flaunting a great body to attract attention. But let’s call it what it is. And let’s not pretend that nobody at this photoshoot make any cockatoo jokes or snake-between-my-legs jokes. This kid of imagery is meant to spark all kinds of naughty erotic connections. Vanity Fair’s headlines and cover blurbs and the content of its article is packed with innuendo. I think it’s cute. All I did was ratchet things up to next level of wetness.
That “Wet Your Appetite” in the headline here is Vanity Fair’s own play on words. No reason to pretend they don’t know the sexual connotations, right?
But yes, Koleś, I see and agree with your larger point. This is what the PR machine wants to crank out, it’s what they do when they need to feed a hungry jaded audience — so it’s no wonder the juice they squeeze out of celebrities can sometimes splatter and stain susceptible aspects of modern culture in occasionally unsavory ways
I was going to say it looked very 80s to me. I forgot about the Kinski shoot if I knew about it at all. I was 7 back then. By the by, her dad had my all-time favorite movie face. It’s a shame if what they said is true.
Anyhoo, Miss Lawrence is an extremely beautiful lady and it’s a great set of snaps. I continue to enjoy her choices. What a superstar! Just when I thought the days of the superstar were over.
This is HOT! it really looks like the snake is ‘coupling’ with her from behind…Is there a possibility she got pregnant?
Too bad magazines like this (and worse ones) don’t take any responsibility when a phone gets hacked or a celebrity takes heat for beating up a paparazzi. There is a slim difference between a sexy photo session that “celebrates the beauty of the female body” and full frontal selfie that “invades and tarnishes one’s privacy”. But it’s a very common thing that the ones pumping the bubble are never around when it brakes. Mostly because they are never the ones who brake it, so their conscience is clear.
What is JLaw trying to tell us with this stuff?
