I completely forgot about this and I can see why. I don’t really watch anything that gets nominated except for the same three people from “Game of Thrones”. Actually I did watch and like the first episode of “Bloodline” but then I forgot to go back and watch the rest. My Netflix account just sits there waiting for me to get my ass in gear. And I watched two episodes of “American Crime” then forgot. But “Empire”… Taraji should win and Terrence should be nominated. What happened there? I wasn’t paying attention to the buzz. I think that means I don’t give a crap. Maybe it’s the emotional damage from Pedro Pascal not even getting nominated last time. Stupid bitches.
Supporting drama actor has to be down to Banks and Mendelsohn. If ever 2 actors deserves nominations it’s them. Besides The Americans and a few others big snubs the Emmys got far more right than wrong.
Nice to see Emmy inching it’s way outward in the media field and coming up with a pretty diverse list, to boot. Lots of favourites made the list and lots did not, but, meh – that’s the Rewards Game, er, Awards Game, I mean.
I’m surprised Lily Tomlin was nominated over Jane Fonda.
But all in all, I think these were all rather expected. And safe, too.
Emmy? Oh yeah, that’s the award “The Wire” was nominated for only two times. I remember that.
I’ll be so sad if Viola loses out on another award!
Mostly from these noms I’m just so so so happy that they snubbed Jim Parsons. If I had to see him win for the 5th time for playing a character that has never evolved or changed it would have been too much.
Taraji will nail it. First time a black actress ever won an emmy for this lead category.i thought it was originally going to go to viola but it’ll be her.
I’m very happy for Tatiana Maslany for her well deserved Emmy nomination, but I’m afraid Cookie is going to nab it. Same for Ben Mendelsohn in Bloodline.
It’s strange that drama only had 6 nominees for the acting awards (which is way more competitive) yet comedy sometimes had 7 or 8 nominees!?!
Really surprised that The Affair got zero nominations.
And Clive Owen not making it for The Knick is such a disappointment. At least the show made it for best directing.
Wow they expand the nominees every year.8 nominees in a acting category is crazy.
Where’s THE KNICK? Where’s…*deep sight*…never mind.
