Warner Bros. revealed the new trailer for the forthcoming Suicide Squad film after it leaked at this year’s Comic-Con. In true Comic-Con tradition, the trailer was filmed and leaked online, and naturally the quality was bad, but was enough to send everyone online into a frenzy.
Following the leak, Warner Bros. released the trailer with the following statement:
“Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”
– Sue Kroll, President Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures

Al, I didn’t realize it was so far away! I’m shocked we got such a lengthy trailer for a movie that’s over a year from release. But. This trailer was a lot of Margot Robbie hanging from bars slow mo style. However this was a perfect first trailer. I’m over the moon for this. I love how dark DC is going.
The cast diversity though!!! I am so here for this movie. Take note Marvel.
Deadpool will break into R territory.

Probably Deadpool will be the one that breaks the PG-13 barrier. That’s incredible, there is no F-word on Comic-Books films. Puritans
but all the same, I’m getting off real good at how perverse this looks for PG-13. I am so fucking hungry for some hard R superhero supersick superkink, and that’s why I’m glad whenever a huge budget makes the MPAA pretend they don’t see anything that will screw up impressionable young minds

I honestly groped around blindly for a button to RT this comment.
sick of having to suffer through a bunch of other people’s garbage performances just to see Viola Davis back on the big screen. all of her roles should be one-woman biopics.
Viola Davis should have been The Dressmaker.
Viola Davis should have been Joy.
Viola Davis should have been Steve Jobs.

This trailer was great. I’m excited, but August 2016 is a world away. I can’t let myself get that excited yet.
Seeing all the talk of this movie on Twitter this week has been great, but dizzying.
I love that the trailer doesn’t give much away (unlike BvS which tries to explain I’m not sure what but a lot). I don’t need to tell you boys how deep in the tank I am for auteur David Ayer, one of the essential contemporary voices in the medium that we have in this country, and it looks like he has delivered once again a grand journey. Liking the cast. Between Amanda Waller and her role in BLACKHAT I can’t get enough of rear end-kicking Viola. More please.
Was hoping to *hear* more of Robbie’s Harley Quinn in this trailer- I loved Arleen Sorkin’s bubbly, very Queens voice acting performance as Harley in the 90’s Batman TAS cartoon, and Robbie already showed she can do a similar one in Wolf of Wall Street.
I expected Leto would be a great successor to Ledger as Joker, and so far, he’s not disappointing at all.

“You mean information wants to be free?”
“Yes, that too.”
