SAG Jada Pinkett Awards are finally over BARF!
oh, and I forgot Jacob Tremblay in my “Yay Canada!” Also nice to see Rami Malek recognized. Also, were Susan Sarandon, Christina Ricci, and Ray Liotta nominated for just being themselves?
i have to say, though, that the TV nods are as predictable as ever. And I still don’t understand why they can’t add supporting categories there, if if they follow the Globe nods. I would think actors would want as many opportunities as they can get to rack up the awards
Wow, one of my NGNGs made it in! (Sarah Silverman) And Rachel McAdams! Yay Canada!
Before the teams “Creed” and “Mad Max FR” panic… let’s remind everyone that these noms are the results of a voting process that wasn’t affected by the status of these both films as respectable critic darlings. That is, SAG voted considering these two would be perceived as just great sequels. Theron, Michael B. Jordan, Stallone and the ensembles could have made the cut, probably, if critics awards started rolling at the beginning of the voting schedule.
Let’s see how the Globes behave. I still think Theron and Stallone are safe bets there, for noms. And at the BAFTAs.
