Unfortunately, I’m starting to think that it’s the ONLY award that it’s going to win. Honestly, I find that a bit sad. The Revenant was certainly a well-made film, but Max’s technical achievements literally told the story and built the entire world, and did it with far more emotional nuance than The Revenant did.
At the very least, I wish it would walk with Director and Editing (admittedly, Revenant and Big Short are #2 for each respectively). Probably not going to happen now.
Makes sense that Mad Max: Fury Road would win given the fact that its make up is such a great character building element for the War Boy’s.
mm: fr desereves make-up guaranteed.
Funny … I thought Cinderella’s hair/wigs were excellent when I saw the movie. So, glad it rightly won here.
I actually think that Cinderella deserved nods for Costume (its only one), Production Design, Hair/MakeUp, and Patrick Doyle’s lovely Score.
But The Revenant is still winning picture…I guess we gotta give Mad Max something…sigh..how predictable…
Furious 7 really?
Satellite Awards are today, right? I can’t find the exact time on official page, so I’m guessing they won’t be shown anywhere? What time can we expect the announcement then?
Mad Max is winning Hair and Makeup. It has won everything BAFTA, GUILDS, AND BFCA.
