Warner Bros has set October 20 as the release date for Ben Affleck’s Live By Night. Based on the Dennis Lehane novel, Live By Night is set during the Prohibition era and follows a petty thief who falls into the world of organized crime and rises to become a notorious rum runner.
Zoe Saldana stars as Graceilla Suarez, Sienna Miller plays Emma who falls for Affleck’s character at the start of the movie, Elle Fanning plays the sheriff’s daughter, and an aspiring actress. Chris Cooper and Chris Messina also appear in the film.
In addition to announcing the release date for Live By Night. Warner Bros has also announced it will release Fist Fight on February 17, 2017. Ice Cube and Charlie Day star in this comedy about a school teacher (Day) who is challenged to a fist fight by his colleague (Cube).
The sequel to Annabelle, Annabelle 2 will be released on May 19, 2017. No details have been revealed about the sequel yet, but the first film was a spin off of The Conjuring that featured a haunted doll who is possessed with evil spirits. Annabelle 2 will open against the Baywatch movie which will star Dwayne Johnson.
Lastly, Warner Bros has also slated August 11, 2017 for the release of an untitled Summer blockbuster which will open against Sony’s Emoji film.
