The first trailer for Love & Friendship has arrived. Based on Jane Austen’s unfinished Lady Susan, Love & Friendship stars Kate Beckinsdale and Chloe Sevigny.
Love & Friendship marks the return of director Whit Stillman and centers on Lady Susan Vernon (Beckinsale), a beautiful widower who seeks refuge at her in-laws estate while rumors about her private life circulate through society. Lady Susan then decides to find a husband for both herself and her daughter.
Stephen Fry, Jemma Redgrave, Xavier Samuel, Morfydd Clark, Emma Greenwell, and James Fleet also star in the film. Roadside Attractions and Amazon Studios will release the film on May 13.
