Jennifer Lawrence has topped the Forbes list of highest paid actresses in the world for the second year in a row. Advertising campaigns for Dior, and roles in the X-Men and Hunger Games franchise saw the 26-year-old take home a $46 million pay check. Melissa McCarthy who starred in this Summer’s all-female reboot of Ghostbusters ranked second with earnings of $33 million. Scarlett Johnansson rounded out the top 3 with $25 million. Johnansson who is the brand ambassador for Dolce & Gabbana, was seen in this year’s Hail Caesar! The Jungle Book, and the Marvel franchise, Captain America: Civil War.
The world’s 10 highest-paid actresses tallied a combined $205 million between June 1, 2015, and June 1, 2016.

When Forbes released its list of the world’s highest paid celebrities of 2016, only three actresses made the list. The top five spots were filled by Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Jackie Chan, Matt Damon and Tom Cruise. Their combined income tallies at $321 million.
