The National Society of Film Critics have decided to celebrate their 50 years. They have teamed up with curators from Boston to LA to choose from among the group’s 50 best for special presentations and discussions.
Presentations have included Blue Velvet, Stranger Than Paradise, There Will Be Blood, and Life is Sweet.
So far, here is how their list is looking:
March – Film Forum, New York City
May and June – the Music Box Theatre, Chicago
October – Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
December – American Cinemateque, Los Angeles
Last year, the NSFC named Spotlight their Best Picture. Other than the obvious choice of the Social Network, the films I would choose if given the chance would be: All The President’s Men, Annie Hal, Breaking Away or The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
