Listen To The Lion Soundtrack On Spotify

Dustin O’ Halloran has composed some fine scores among those the score for Marie Antoinette, and the opening theme for Amazon’s Transparent. O’Halloran won an Emmy for Transparent. His work can be heard on the Lion soundtrack which is available to stream from today on Spotify. The score was also co-scored by Hauschka.

The soundtrack also features Never Give Up by Sia, a solid pop song written for the film. You can hear influences of Bollywood in the track that has a punchy Sia chorus and empowering lyrics as she declares, “But I won’t never give up, no, never give up, no, no/ No, I won’t never give up, no, never give up, no, no”

Lion is an extraordinary, weepfest film about the true story of Saroo, a 5-year-old boy who is separated from his family. Dev Patel plays the adult Saroo as he uses Google Earth to help find his lost family members. Nicole Kidman stars as Saroo’s adoptive mother, and Rooney Mara also stars.
