Beauty and the Beast, according to Box Office Mojo, has just set a March record for opening and became the 7th largest domestic opener of all time. A record smash for Bill Condon’s live action remake of the Disney classic, starring Emma Watson as Belle. With a Cinemascore of A and great reviews all around, this is an example of what women leading films and women paying for films can really do.

Meanwhile, Hidden Figures is heading for $165 million and La La Land is almost at $150 million.
