The Oscar-nominated actress has been cast in Weiner’s Mad Men follow-up, The Romanoffs.
Are you still sad that Isabelle Huppert didn’t take Best Actress at the Oscars last year? Never fear! She might have a chance at an Emmy with Matthew Weiner’s new highly anticipated anthology series.
Set in different areas of the world, The Romanoffs follows characters who may or may not be direct descendants of the Russian dynasty. Huppert’s role hasn’t been disclosed as of now, but she joins Mad Men alumni (and criminally Emmy-less) Christina Hendricks and John Slattery. It’s rumored that Jon Hamm might be eyeing a role, but nothing has been confirmed. The cast also includes Amanda Peet, Jack Huston, and Marthe Keller.
Weiner will write, direct, and executive produce all episodes for Amazon next season.
