You may or may not know about me that one of the people I most admire in the world is Jane Goodall. In another life I would have taken a path that took me into the world of anthropology, paleontology or chimps. Goodall is a lifelong activist and educator, bringing awareness to the intelligence and internal worlds of chimpanzees, our cousins (apes, not monkeys). She has helped to release chimps from labs, helped to rescue abandoned chimps and has aided in conservation and protection of chimps in the wild. She is one of the great ones. I will be seeing Jane on Monday night at the Hollywood Bowl with Phillip Glass accompanying live. Probably among the best things I’ll ever do. Here is a first look.
