There aren’t many movies this year that help to carve a path towards a better future for humanity, but somehow Alexander Payne’s Downsizing does just that. It deceptively forces us to examine a life built on materialism, where we would do anything to be able to keep all of the stuff we buy even if it means shrinking ourselves way down.
